Welcome to the website of Shiojiri CPA Accounting Office (SCAO).
I am Akio Shiojiri, the representative of SCAO.
SCAO was established in 60's by my father, Kazuo Shiojiri (CPA/TA).
Our office is placed in Semba, where is well-known as a famous city of business from old days.
My qualifications are as follows:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Certified Tax Accountant (TA)
- Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)

And also I acquired the degree of a master of mechanical engineering (MME) at Osaka University.

SCAO provides the following services for subsidiaries of foreign companies established based on Japanese Companies Act.

1. Accounting and Reporting
   Compilation of financial statements based on GAAP (Japanese GAAP, US GAAP and IFRS). We can also offer a financial report (includes consolidation package) for the Parent Company in English.
2. Tax Return and Filing
   Tax filing based on Japanese Corporation/Consumption/Regional Tax Law.
   We also file a document prescribed in Certified Tax Accountant's Act. Article 33-2(1). The document will reduce the possibility of Tax inquiry performed by Regional Taxation Bureau.
3. Fraud Examination and Establishing Anti-Fraud Program
   Though Japanese companies are said to have few employee fraud, but after all needs anti-fraud program.
   Understanding Japanese culture very well, we can offer the anti-fraud program for small companies considered with internal controls and risk management. In addition, we can carry out fraud investigation if necessary.
4. Internal Audit Support
   We assist foreign internal auditors to perform their audit in different culture and accounting/business customs.
   We also perform test of financial internal control for US-SOX.
